Blancpain Men's Watches |
With its classic and modern
style and complications of essential quality, Blancpain’s Villeret Gents
collection appeals to luxury watch enthusiasts across the globe. The Blancpainmen's watches collection comprises more than 100 different pieces and
is the Swiss manufacturer's most extensive series.
The Villeret Gents Edition
watches collection is named after the original home of Blancpain. It is steeped
in tradition and symbolises a return to the manufacturer's origins. Their long
history commenced at the start of the 18th century in the small village of
Villeret settled, in the Swiss canton of Bern. Although they later relocated
production in the 1980s to Le Brassus, a community in the Vallée du Joux, they
keep a secure connection to their old home, and the birthplace of Blancpain watches.
Jehan-Jacques Blancpain
started manufacturing watches in 1735 when watchmaking was still a
comparatively young craft. His workshop flourished and developed into an
essential part of the Swiss watch industry over the 19th century. Success
continued under the founder's subsequent successors. The company modernised its
production techniques using the current of the Suze River for the necessary
electricity. They achieved a significant milestone in 1926 when a collaboration
between Blancpain and watch inventor John Harwood resulted in the first
automatic wristwatch across the globe. Other innovations, such as the
first-ever diving watch and the smallest automatic timepiece in the world at
the time, have added in solidifying Blancpain's grand reputation. They belonged
to the Swatch Group since 1992.
The Villeret's Caliber: Ultra-Thin Watch with Big
Complications
All the pieces in the
Villeret collection feature a multitude of calibres. The 1151 automatic caliber
marks the edge due to its elegant flat design. It powers the streamlined
Ultra-plate model that has an 8.7 mm thick case. The 35 and 332 movements power
the Répétition Minutes models, making quite a statement with their powerful
chimes. The 6763 caliber runs the Quantième Complet, that features a complete
calendar with date, weekday, and month displays, and a charming moon phase
indicator. The Blancpain watch price suits their grandeur and the
edge of quality and elegance. The caliber 6054F in the Quantième Annuel GMT
allows travellers to set a second time zone, sparing them the trouble of
continually resetting the time.
While the L-Evolution
includes a touch of avant-garde style, on the other end of the Villeret and Le
Brassus collections has its unique charm. The Léman is somewhere in the heart,
mixing sportiness and elegance. This diverse range of models makes Blancpain
one of the top watch manufacturers across the globe.
